Overall Learning Objectives & Presentations

After attending this educational program, participants will be better able to:
•    Differentiate primary headache disorders from secondary headaches requiring further investigation. 
•    Apply current evidence based Canadian recommendations for the diagnosis and management of migraine             in primary care. 
•    Develop individualized acute and preventive treatment plans based on patient characteristics, preferences,             and clinical presentation. 
•    Incorporate non pharmacologic strategies, patient education, and shared decision making into comprehensive       migraine care. 
•    Manage migraine in special populations, including women with hormonal related migraine, pregnancy,                     and menopause. 
•    Integrate emerging CGRP targeted therapies appropriately into clinical practice.
